Barca’s first signing for next season revealed: striker No. 9 from Premier League

The British newspaper The Sun revealed Barcelona’s first deals for next season, and confirmed that striker No. 9 will come to replace Lewandowski, who is likely to leave in the next summer market.

Barcelona is experiencing a nightmare in terms of results, as it was confirmed that it will leave empty-handed this season after losing all the tournaments in which it participated, and its last defeat was yesterday against Girona 4/2.

The Spanish newspaper Marca said that the FC Barcelona sports administration has already begun planning for next season and has opened the file of the departed and the first candidate to leave is Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who receives the highest salaries in the locker room.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, Barcelona  has put the name of Darwin Nunez, the Liverpool player, on its agenda as a potential replacement for the Polish striker, and the English club will be willing to sell the Uruguayan striker who has not performed at the required level.

Barcelona striker Lewandowski arrived at Camp Nou two years ago and his numbers are not bad at all, as he scored 33 goals last season, becoming the team’s top scorer, but this season, his numbers are lower: 24 goals in all competitions.

As for the Liverpool player, he creates a lot in his team’s match. He’s not a goalscorer of the stature of Harry Kane or Haaland, but it’s worth noting that he arrived at Anfield after an impressive season in Portugal and more was expected of him.

Darwin caught the attention of all of Europe thanks to his time at Benfica. In his second season there, he scored 34 goals in all competitions. Before that, he was noticed by the Portuguese club when he was a player for Almería, where he scored 16 goals at the age of 20.

Therefore, the Reds chose him as a striker for the present and the future. However, he did not rise to the challenge: in his first season he scored 15 goals and provided five assists in all competitions; This current season, he has so far scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists.
