Xavi Hernández appeared this Monday at the press conference prior to the match against Naples this Tuesday (9:00 p.m.), corresponding to the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, which will be played at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuic. The Blaugrana coach has highlighted that the Italian team stands out, among other things, for its individualities.
“From Naples I like those at the top, they have a top level in Europe: Politano, Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia ,” said Xavi Hernández to the media. However, when asked by an Italian journalist to highlight just one player, he focused on midfielder Stanislav Lobotka.
“I would tell you Lobotka, he is a player that I like at a construction level, who does not lose balls. I would like, in some way, to see him in a team like Barcelona. He has the level to play in a club like Barça . He marks a lot difference for his team, for Naples,” he argued.
The Slovakian landed in Naples in the summer of 2020, from Celta del Vigo, where he spent the previous two seasons, in exchange for 21 million euros. Since then, he has made 152 appearances , in which he has scored two goals and provided two other assists.
This season he has not missed a single game: a full 38 games, in which he has spent a total of 3,201 minutes dressed as a short. At 29 years old, his contract with Naples expires on June 30, 2027 .
