Tchouameni responds to DAZN tweet that accused Gavi of intentionally injuring him in El Clásico

Tchouameni played against Barcelona and did not appear to be injured during the match until Real Madrid surprised everyone by announcing that he had suffered a fracture in the metatarsal in his left foot and would be absent from the field for a period ranging between 6 and 8 weeks.

Real Madrid said in an official statement: “After the examinations conducted on our player Aurelien TchouamEni by Real Madrid’s medical services, he was diagnosed with an incomplete stress fracture in the second metatarsal of his left foot.”

Real Madrid was able to defeat Barcelona in the El Clásico match that was held last Saturday, 2-1, in the 11th round of La Liga.

The Spanish channel DAZN, which owns the rights to La Liga, published a video on its Twitter account showing a violent intervention by Gavi on Tchouameni and claimed that this intervention was what caused the injury to the French midfielder.

But for his part, Tchouameni retweted the tweet to clear the name of the young Barcelona player, and wrote: “Gavi cannot bear the guilt. I have been injured since the first half.”
