Radio Marca: Manchester City failed in stealing Barcelona’s best player

Radio Marca said that relations between Barcelona and Manchester City witnessed a sharp deterioration after the end of the current summer transfer period due to the English team’s attempts to steal one of the most prominent Blaugrana players.

Manchester City lost many of its players in the summer, such as Riyad Mahrez, Gundogan, Joao Cancelo, as well as young Cole Palmer, and the club was seeking to compensate for those losses with young deals that would bear immediate fruit.

According to Radio Marca, Manchester City, led by Guardiola, tried to steal Barcelona’s rising talent, Lamine Yamal, in the last summer transfer, but their attempts failed.

According to Radio Marca, Pep Guardiola’s team tempted the player and his entourage to join the City project, an entity that has for years installed the same youth training model as La Masia, but the offer was immediately rejected by Lamine, who wants to succeed as a player for Barcelona.

As Radio Marca reported, relations between Barcelona and Manchester City seriously deteriorated after this negotiation attempt. The English team did everything in its power to “steal” the “jewel” of La Masia, intentions that were not accepted at all in Joan Laporta’s offices.
