After winning La Liga.. Xavi asks 4 players to leave Barcelona forever

The feasibility plan drawn up by Barcelona and expected to be approved by La Liga must work towards the targets set out in terms of deals. The club is committed to selling some players before signing new players and candidates to leave have been identified for weeks already.

Just yesterday, the president, Joan Laporta, threw the ball into Ansu Fati’s court about staying or leaving and, above all, made it clear that everything would depend on the decisions made between the sports administration and the technical staff. And this is when Xavi Hernandez will have to roll up his sleeves to deliver the knockout blow.

Director of Football Matteo Alemany is still meeting with the agents of the players nominated to leave, but the coach will have to speak this week with the players to make his position clear to them: at Barcelona they will not have the opportunities and that the best they can do for themselves and the club is to leave for another team.

The club has waited until the LaLiga title has been officially won to talk to the departing because it is not good to know that some colleagues have to leave at a sensitive time in the season. They have already been informed because Barcelona needs major cuts before June 30 and, above all, salary savings for new signings.

Barcelona have always made it clear that there will be no unwanted sale unless a key player asks to leave when an offer of a huge sum of money arrives. For this reason, the club will prioritize selling the players who have received the fewest minutes.

There already, the first list is limited to Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, Franck Kesseh and Jordi Alba. These four players will be free to hear offers and, in some cases, there are already advanced negotiations for their departure pending approval from the players.

The conversation with Xavi would only be to make it clear that the club wants them to leave in the summer. As painful as it may be, the club needs to force these sales in order to boost the squad with the big deals.
