The Blaugrana team made the arrival of Óscar Ureña official on Monday. The attacker has signed for two seasons, until June 2026 after Barça and Girona have reached an agreement for his transfer. The amount of the transfer has not been specified.
Ureña , 21, has signed for the Catalans after spending two seasons on loan at Cartagena in the Second Division. The winger also played in the Olympics with the Dominican Republic last July, where they were eliminated in the group stage after draws against Uzbekistan (1-1) and Egypt (0-0), and a defeat against Spain (1-3). He played 153 minutes at the Olympics.

Given the large number of changes that Barça Atlètic is undergoing, typical of each season in the culé reserve team, Albert Sánchez ‘s team continues to strengthen itself in order to try to be as competitive as possible.
Ureña will join an attack that is short of players after the promotion of Pau Víctor, the injury of Percan and the return of Naim from loan to Leganés. Ureña is a winger who can play on either side of the attack. He is very skillful with the ball at his feet and stands out for having a good one-on-one, a weapon that allows him to be vertical and always look for the opponent’s goal.
Ureña’s first words as a culé
“For me it’s a source of pride, a dream come true and I’m really looking forward to getting started. I define myself as a fast, skilful, hard-working player who is very good at balance and can help the team. My greatest virtues are being able to balance, one-on-one and actions that can end in a goal. I hope that we work as a team, that we set ourselves ambitious challenges and try to aim high.”
