Lamine Yamal’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, is out of danger at Can Ruti hospital in Badalona after being stabbed in a car park in Mataró on Wednesday night. Nasraoui will be transferred to the ward on Thursday and will remain in hospital until he recovers from the serious attack, which fortunately did not have any serious consequences.
The Mossos d’Esquadra have taken charge of the case and have already arrested three people who could be involved in the attack on Lamine Yamal’s father.
Nasraoui was stabbed hours after he was involved in a brawl in the Rocafonda neighbourhood of Mataró . Neighbours captured images of how Lamine’s father defended himself as best he could while being yelled at from the door of a house.
Local police were the first to act to protect Nasraoui, who is heard shouting that “they attacked me” in reference to these neighbours , while he was separated in his attempt to continue the argument.
The police tried to calm him down, while Lamine’s father explained, visibly upset, that “they grabbed me and threw me to the ground . “
Hours later, the stabbing occurred in the Mataró car park, which caused moments of great tension until he was taken to hospital, where he was treated and, despite the seriousness of the situation, his family was reassured about his condition.
The presence of Alejandro Echevarría, a person of utmost confidence of Joan Laporta, helped the family in the hospital and the player stayed at home once he knew that his father was in a serious condition, but not in life-threatening danger.
