Barcelona snatches a player from the gates of Bayern Munich

Barcelona is currently in a state of emergency in order to strengthen its team with new deals and also to settle the issue of those leaving before the start of the new season amid a financial crisis that limits its options.

Deco and Joan Laporta are seeking to meet the demands of new coach Hansi Flick, who has called for strengthening several positions in attack and midfield. The Nico Williams deal is the closest to being finalized at the moment, but another deal is close.

We are talking about Dani Olmo, the star midfielder of the Spanish national team in the Euro and the top scorer of the tournament, which his country won against England in the final.

According to Sport, Dani Olmo was very close to becoming a Bayern Munich player, but the player stopped negotiations with the German club due to Barcelona’s interest.

This newspaper indicates that the midfielder was among the Bavarians’ targets and that they had advanced to sign him, but the player was the one who stopped the process when he learned of Barcelona’s real and tangible interest.

Mundo Deportivo added that Dani Olmo’s agents, Juanma Lopez and Andy Parra, met again with Barcelona in search of completing the transfer deal for the Catalan player from RB Leipzig.

According to the newspaper, the agents will meet again with the German club to discuss the transfer deal in the coming days. Meanwhile, the player is in Ibiza resting after becoming a European champion with his brother and several friends.
