Barcelona midfielder Pedri Gonzalez has praised the three players who are candidates to join the Blaugrana next season.
Pedri is preparing with the Spanish national team to face Germany in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024, while Barcelona is working to strengthen its squad for next season under the leadership of its new coach Hansi Flick.
Pedri gave an interview to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, and about his presence in the Spanish national team with Athletic Bilbao player Nico Williams, who is linked to a move to Barcelona, he indicated: “We do not talk about it much, it is a decision that he and Barcelona have to make, many things have to happen.”
“It is clear that he would be an amazing signing for Barcelona, he is a player who we already see what he is doing at the European Championships, I hope he is with us, but it is not known yet, he is under contract with his club, and what has to happen will happen,” Pedri stressed.
On Mikel Moreno, his Spain teammate who is also linked with a move to Barcelona, he added: “Mikel is the player I really like in midfield, especially in the high balls. I always tell him that it is impossible for him to lose the ball.”
“He wins all these clashes, he is a footballer who moves his body very well and covers the ball very well, when we play against him he costs me a lot, he has many qualities, both with and without the ball, he recovers a lot of balls, he is a very complete player.”
Regarding his international teammate, Dani Olmo, and whether he considers him a good signing for Barcelona, Pedri concluded: “I think so, Dani is an incredible player, moreover, he has already been at Barcelona, so he already knows what Barcelona is, hopefully he will have the opportunity to come, but he or the club or whoever signs him will have to make the decision.”
