L’Equipe: Luis Enrique transfers 3 players from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain

Barcelona hopes to go into the summer transfer market with financial guarantees that will enable it to implement deals that help strengthen its team. A lot of work has been done because the objectives, for the most part, are clear and, in addition, there have been direct communications to see what the real options are.

Xavi had direct talks with players such as Zobimendi and Kimmich but it was Barcelona’s fragile financial situation that halted the deals.

Among the players on the list of the sports department led by Deco, there are three players who fit Xavi’s needs when it comes to adding talent to the team.

The first player is Bernardo Silva who represents a long-term ambition for the club and there is complete consensus on signing him by the management.

The midfielder is also convinced to play for the Blaugrana, but Barcelona is not in a position to commit as everything will depend on the possible departure of some players and Financial Fair Play in La Liga.

The second player is Xavi Simons, who has a clause in his contract with Paris Saint-Germain that gives him the option to leave unilaterally on loan wherever he wants. The third player is Kvaratskhelia, who is maneuvering with Napoli in negotiations to renew his contract.

They are three great players, and precisely for this reason, Barcelona is not the only club intending to acquire them. There is also, as L’Equipe confirms, Paris Saint-Germain, led by Luis Enrique.

Xavi Simons’ case is special because he belongs to the French team that loaned him to the German club Leipzig this season. The Spanish coach will have to convince him that he will be important in his team next season so that the Dutchman does not fulfill the condition that allows him to move on loan.

For his part, the French team’s coach is very impressed with Bernardo Silva, as PSG has unlimited potential and is not afraid of the regulatory restrictions of the French League or UEFA.

Barcelona cannot promise anything, and this represents an important hurdle that can only be overcome if the player agrees to wait and be patient.

Finally, Kvaratskhelia, according to the French newspaper, is also on Luis Enrique’s list of goals, knowing that Napoli faces many difficulties in renewing his contract.
