Gundogan blames one person for Barcelona defeat against Paris Saint-Germain

Barcelona suffered a harsh 4-1 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain last night and exited the Champions League in the quarter-finals despite winning the first leg with a score of 3-2.

Ronald Araujo’s sending off in the 29th minute turned the match upside down, as Barcelona was leading 1/0, but could not maintain that result due to the numerical deficiency and conceded 4 goals.

Regardless of the controversy of the violation and expulsion, Ronald Araujo had another option instead of intercepting Barcola, which was to let him go to Ter Stegen’s goal, and even if he had succeeded in scoring, the score would have been 1/1, which is better than playing for a full hour with ten players.

After the match, Gundogan held his teammate Ronald Araujo fully responsible for the defeat, saying: “In this type of situation on the field, you have to be clear that you will reach the ball. If not, you should have given our goalkeeper a chance. Playing for many minutes with ten players, it kills you.”

When asked, in another television interview, whether Araujo’s expulsion had a complete impact on the outcome of the match, Gundogan said: “Yes. The competitor doesn’t matter. In a decisive match… I don’t know at what minute the sending off was, but with a player being sent off so quickly, it’s impossible. “I left, unfortunately.”
