Due to what happened with Lamine Yamal… PSG and Barca take a strict decision and inform UEFA

After Barcelona’s victory against PSG in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals, both clubs informed Movistar Plus+ that no member of their teams was going to speak to the network about a classist comment that Mono Burgos made about Lamine Yamal in the preview.

Specifically, while images of the attacker giving touches were seen, the Argentine stated that if the culé does not do well in football “he ends up at a traffic light.”

Right after the news broke, Burgos apologized for his words: “I wish I had had the ability that this boy has. It was a comment without trying to hurt anyone. We talk about football, nothing more. If you have felt offended I am sorry and I apologize publicly. It wasn’t the intention. Sometimes by doing humor you get into trouble. In these times you have to adapt to everything and that’s what we’re in.”

Ricardo Sierra was in charge of explaining live the reason why they would not be able to speak with any of the protagonists of the match: “I understand that many spectators expected us to have a conversation or interview with Barça”.

“But UEFA, PSG and Barça have notified us that they were not going to attend to us because they were extremely angry with a comment that was made on our set during the preview. Therefore, they were not going to do any interviews with us, we have not been lucky. I apologized from here. We must also do it from the set.”
