Barcelona achieved a major victory over its host team, Atletico Madrid, in the match that was held between them yesterday evening, Sunday, at the Metropolitano Stadium in the Spanish capital, in the 29th round of the Spanish Premier League.
Barcelona took second place in the La Liga standings after this win, with 64 points, 8 points behind Real Madrid, who leads with 72 points.
Barcelona’s goals were scored by: Joao Felix (38′), Lewandowski (47′) and Fermin Lopez (65′). After the match, the scorer of the third goal spoke and dedicated it to his colleague, who was going through difficult circumstances.
“We believe until the end,” Fermin Le Pez said after the match. We are trying to get points and fight for the league. It surprised me, and Xavi asked me to play calmly and as I know how. “I think we have good momentum and we hope to extend it as long as possible.”

Joao Cancelo was absent from Barcelona’s squad list to face Atletico Madrid due to undisclosed personal circumstances.
