Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the star of the English Liverpool club, spoke about many things in a lengthy interview with the English Premier League website, including remembering what happened before one of the Reds’ matches against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Liverpool is currently leading the English Premier League, one point ahead of Manchester City and two points behind Arsenal. Mohamed Salah returned from injury and participated in the last match against Sparta Prague in the European League and is fully prepared to face City tomorrow, Sunday.
During his interview, Mohamed Salah confirmed that he trains daily for more than an hour and a half in the gym as well as at home, noting that mental preparation is more difficult than physical training.
He talked about what he did before the famous confrontation between Liverpool and Barcelona in the second leg of the 2019 Champions League semi-final, which ended with the Reds winning by four goals and qualifying for the final.
Salah said about wearing a shirt bearing the slogan “Never Give Up” before this match: “If you asked me if I would do it again now, I would say no.”
He added: “But I chose to do it half an hour before the match. I went to the match and said that there would be a lot of ridicule if we did not win, but this is what I will do, because I love the entire team. I wanted them to care about the match more than anything, because they are capable.” “For doing a lot of wonderful things.”
