“Recommended by Harry Kane”.. Barcelona agrees to sell its 28-year-player to Bayern Munich

The 28-year-player can become an unexpected new source of income for Barça. Bayern’s defensive problems, aggravated by De Ligt’s knee injury, have opened the door to the incorporation of two defenders in this January market.

Lenglet is one of the options that the German team is considering and the operation has been explored, but Barça would only give the go-ahead through a transfer. To do this, the footballer, on loan to Aston Villa, would have to be picked up and sold to Bayern for a price that would range from 10 million euros more objectively.

Bayern’s sports officials like the Lenglet option because they understand that it is a good market option. The Frenchman performed at a high level at Tottenham last year, but this year he practically does not play for Aston Villa. In fact, he has not even made his debut in the Premier League and has only had a leading role in the Conference League because Unai Emery is clearly betting on Pau Torres, one of the great investments made this summer.

Lenglet is not comfortable at Aston Villa because he expected to play much more and wants to leave in this January market. In Spain he had some open possibility, but the emergence of Bayern could speed things up.

And for Lenglet it would be a priority to go to the Bundesliga as long as an agreement was reached between all parties. In principle, Aston Villa should not cause problems, but Barça does set conditions: it would only go to Bayern sold and not on loan.

According to ‘Bild’, one of Lenglet’s greatest supporters is Harry Kane. The team’s star forward shared a dressing room with the French centre-back last season at Tottenham and would endorse his defensive solvency and his professionalism.

Tottenham fought to keep him this summer, but there was no agreement because Barça asked for around 15 million euros for the transfer. Now, they would give the OK to ten million more variables, a price that Bayern can assume without problems.
