Ansu Fati appeared with Brighton last night, Thursday, in the Europa League, where he scored one goal and assisted another in the English team’s 2-0 victory over Ajax Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Fati’s career has been on the rise in the recent period with Brighton, to whom he moved on loan at the beginning of the current season, after he was completely excluded from Xavi Hernandez’s accounts.
In the English Premier League, he played 7 matches, not complete, and scored two goals. In the European League, he played 4 matches, scored two goals and made one goal.
Although the Barcelona sporting directorate decided to loan Ansu Fati so that he could get more minutes and regularity outside the club, the truth is that at the Catalan club they are very interested in every move the striker makes.
In an interview with Sport, Bojan Krkic, FC Barcelona’s football area coordinator, analyzed Fati’s campaign this season and praised Brighton’s work:
“I came back from Brighton very happy. I really liked the coach and his coaching staff. I know the assistant coach [Andrea Maldera] since I was at Milan. In fact, we still keep in touch. Brighton is a team that plays very good football in the league. Ansu is in very good hands. His coach believes in him and is good at managing youth.”
But Sport newspaper confirmed that Barcelona’s decision regarding Ansu Fati, even after his brilliance with Brighton, is to sell him at the end of the season and take advantage of his excellent performance so far to raise his price.
