The Catalan newspaper, El Nacional, said that Barcelona is facing a new crisis in the dressing room, similar to that of Osman Dembele, who suddenly decided to leave for Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona tried to renew Osman Dembele’s contract, which will expire at the end of next season, but the French winger preferred to accept Paris Saint-Germain’s tempting offer for 5 seasons, in exchange for twice the salary he receives in the Catalan team.
To compensate for Dembele’s sudden departure, FC Barcelona is working to complete the Bernardo Silva deal from Manchester City, despite its difficulty. The English club will not let one of the most important pillars of his team go without a fight and will demand a large sum of money to agree to his departure to Camp Nou.
Barcelona will use the Dembele deal money to finance the Bernardo Silva deal, but it will not be enough, of course, because the departure of the French winger will enter an amount of less than 50 million euros into the club’s coffers, while the Portuguese player’s deal will cost more than 65 million euros.
Here another issue arises: Jules Kounde is close to leaving like Ousmane Dembele, but not in the same way.
Kounde did not like the role Xavi gave him last season when he used him at right-back almost in most matches and told his coach that he did not want to continue playing in this position next season.
And although he denied his desire to leave, through his official account on Instagram, El Nacional newspaper confirms that the reality is completely different and that the French defender is looking for a lifeline and Chelsea is ready to pay 60 million euros to sign him.
According to the same newspaper, the amount of 60 million euros is attractive to Laporta, who wants to bring money into the club’s coffers so that he can register players as well as finance new deals such as Bernardo Silva.
