Xavi Hernandez has indicated the four players he wants to expel from Barcelona during the month of July. He doesn’t want the checkout process to stop, and there are many processes that take longer than he wants.
That is why he gave the order to Mathieu Alemany and Deco to find a buyer for these players. Before they leave, it will be impossible to bring in new faces and sign autographs that have been closed.
Eric Garcia is at the top of this list, and he has no options to continue at Camp Nou. He is the last choice in defence, and in front of him is Ronald Araujo, Jules Conde, Marcos Alonso, Andreas Christensen and now also Inigo Martínez.
Xavi Hernandez experimented with placing the 22-year-old defender as a defensive midfielder, and hoped he could be an interesting replacement for the scheme, as they lost Sergio Busquets.
But he fails in the attempt, and is totally doomed. The idea is to sell him definitively, but in the event that an interesting enough offer does not arrive, a loan is not ruled out.
With Franck Kesset, on the other hand, they hope they can complete a sale soon, leaving between 20 and 30 million euros in the coffers. He has been put on the agenda for Inter Milan, as well as on the agenda for multiple teams in Saudi Arabia. So it shouldn’t be too hard to get rid of it.
Finding a team willing to make an offer for Ferran Torres is becoming more and more complicated. Barcelona ran out of patience with him, and Xavi asked Juan Laporta to sell him, regardless of the amount they get in return, and despite the fact that they paid around 55 million euros to Manchester City to sign him just a year and a half ago.
And to finish off the list, we have Ansu Fati, who is Xavi’s latest headache. At Barcelona, they cannot stand for a day with the 20-year-old winger, whose salary of six million euros a year is not justified at all.
But he doesn’t look like he’s ready to go either.
