Reports: Announcing Barcelona’s first summer deals next Thursday

FC Barcelona and Athletico Paranaense have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Vitor Roque (18 years old) to the Barça club, as Mundo Deportivo learned.

Specifically, the two clubs have agreed on a formula for the sale of the Brazilian striker to Barcelona for a fixed 35 million plus another 10 million that the culé entity could pay in different variables depending on the goals that the striker meets when he ends up with the Catalan champion.

Barça ‘s contract with Vitor Roque will run until June 30, 2028 , that is, it will last for the next five seasons.

To pay in three years and a thousand ‘kilos’ of clause

The operation must be paid for by FC Barcelona in three years and the termination clause for Vitor Roque as a Barça player aims to be one billion euros.

Mattos, back in Brazil

The clubs will exchange the documentation formalized by both parties during the next week. Alexandre Mattos , CEO of Athletico Paranaense , has led the negotiations with his Barça counterparts and his plan is to go back to Brazil tomorrow with the peace of mind of having left the business on track.

On behalf of Barcelona , he has completed the Deco operation , the main backer of the signing of Vitor Roque . André Cury , the striker’s agent and former employee of the Barça club, has also rowed a lot in favor of him, who helped a lot to make him become a culé player despite the fact that other greats in Europe such as Chelsea pressed hard to take him away.

Everything can be closed on Thursday or Friday

This agreement should close at the end of next week, between Thursday and Friday. Athletico Paranaense has a match next Wednesday and its leadership should validate this principle according to Barça after that match, once Alexandre Mattos arrives with the operation perfectly outlined. Now it is a matter of translating everything into official documents in line with what was verbally agreed.
