Osman Dembele, winger of FC Barcelona, spoke in an interview with Marca newspaper, about the only Real Madrid player who wishes to move to Real Madrid, and also gave his opinion on the departure of Karim Benzema to the Saudi Jeddah Federation.
Othman started talking about Benzema’s departure from Real Madrid, saying: “Without Benzema, Real Madrid loses a lot because he is the Golden Ball holder and a great player. Real Madrid without Benzema is not the same. It will be a very important loss.”
Regarding Benzema, he added: “It will be a great loss for the Spanish League, because he is a footballer who scores many goals and provides assists. He is an exceptional player.”
And he continued his talk about crowning La Liga and competing with Real Madrid: “Real Madrid is always a very difficult competitor who fights for all titles. We wanted to win this league and we didn’t want to miss a point that would allow them to come close. We were determined to win it.”
Much has been said and written about Mbappe’s future. Do you still see that he has options to play for Real Madrid, or do you think this opportunity has been lost?
Dembele replies: “I don’t know (laughs). I don’t know, let’s see what happens in the next few years. I don’t know if he will leave PSG.”
Who is the Real Madrid player that you will sign with to join Barcelona?
Dembele: “Modric. I like Ter Stegen a lot, but Courtois is also a great goalkeeper. But if I had to choose only one player to sign to Barcelona from Real Madrid, I would choose Modric.”
