Barça needs to sign a pivot and Xavi Hernández already assumes that it will be very difficult to incorporate a differential footballer in that position.

The Kessié-Brozovic operation already arose during the month of January when Inter requested the transfer of the blaugrana. At that time, Barça dismissed the issue, but opened the option of an exchange with Brozovic.
The Croatian viewed the agreement very favorably, but the Italians backed down, arguing that the valuation of the two footballers was not the same.
Now, Xavi expects the arrival of a player with the characteristics of Brozovic. The coach has presented an ambitious list, but operations are impossible for the club in this market, so he would be willing to press for this barter and he has communicated this to the sports area.
But for now everything is stopped because at Barça it is not clear due to the difference in age of the two footballers -Brozovic is going to turn 31- and because the Croatian’s record is very high due to Italian taxation.
Barça and Inter have been in contact in recent weeks and it is likely that there will be a market summit in days. Inter have been interested in some Blaugrana players like Kessié and Eric Garcia, but they don’t have the money to sign.
And they want to explore the idea of a trade, be it with Brozovic or with some other player. At the time they also put on the table the possibility of the right winger, Dumfries but Barça does not like it.
Barça’s intention is to try to sell Kessié for more than 30 million euros and then be able to decide. And for now that offer has not arrived. The club does not rule out keeping it this season if there is not a good sale.
