Lionel Messi , captain of the Argentina national team, scored the first goal against Australia, in the match currently being held at Workers Stadium in Beijing, China, in a friendly.
This is the third friendly match after the Qatar World Cup 2022, where Argentina played against Panama and Curaçao last March, winning 2-0 and 7-0, respectively.
The goal came after a pass from Enzo Fernandez, Messi received it and hit it hard in his own way and settled in the top net of Matthew Ryan, the Australian goalkeeper, in the second minute.
Messi had previously announced his transfer to American Inter Miami, after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain after the end of his contract, and refused to return to Barcelona.
Messi said about his refusal to return to Barcelona, that he wanted to play without pressure, and he also did not want the media to talk about him as the person who caused the departure of other players.
