Lionel Messi , captain of the Argentina national team, scored the first goal against Australia, in the match currently being held at Workers Stadium in Beijing, China, in a friendly.
This is the third friendly match after the Qatar World Cup 2022, where Argentina played against Panama and Curaçao last March, winning 2-0 and 7-0, respectively.
The goal came after a pass from Enzo Fernandez, Messi received it and hit it hard in his own way and settled in the top net of Matthew Ryan, the Australian goalkeeper, in the second minute.
Messi had previously announced his transfer to American Inter Miami, after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain after the end of his contract, and refused to return to Barcelona.
