Bayern Munich captain rebelled to leave for Barcelona

Mundo Deportivo newspaper said that the Bayern Munich captain is rebelling against his club in order to agree to his departure to Barcelona in the current summer market.

Barcelona received a major shock in this market after it failed to bring back Lionel Messi, who decided to go to the American club Inter Miami in the end. That left a good financial margin for him to sign with a big deal.

According to the Mundo Deportivo newspaper, Xavi Hernandez asked the Barcelona administration to sign Bayern Munich captain Joshua Kimmich in any way and as quickly as possible and make him a top priority in the market.

Barcelona has a prior agreement with Ilkay Gundogan (32 years) to join the team after the Champions League final, but Xavi fears Manchester City’s attempts to renew his contract as well as the entry of Paris Saint-Germain as a strong competitor to sign with him, so he asked the club’s management to expedite the contract with Kimmich.

For his part, Joshua Kimmich showed his rebellion against the decisions taken by the Bayern Munich administration, such as the sudden dismissal of Nagelsmann, as well as the departure of Oliver Kahn minutes after winning the Bundesliga title. He refused to renew his contract, which expires in the summer of 2025, and asked to leave for Barcelona.

The Barcelona administration is aware of Kimmich’s movements, who wants to experience playing in a new country and club and loves the character of Xavi Hernandez, and wants to make every effort to secure his signature in order to meet the coach’s needs before the start of the next season.
