The last thing the Manchester City coach participated in was presenting a farewell message to Sergio Busquets, who will play his last match with Barcelona next Sunday against Celta Vigo.
In a clip published by the official Barcelona channel, Guardiola addressed several words to Busquets on the occasion of his departure, in which he said: “Sergi, they ask me to say a few words to you. They will tell you titles, what you have achieved, etc… But you and I both know what work is right for you.”
And he added, “I know that you will soon become a coach and I will wait for you on the bench. You have the personality of your father, and it is fortunate for you that you have such parents,” referring to Carlos Busquets , who joined Pep in the team.
And he continued, “ You know that I will beat you, that I will take the ball away from you, that I will watch your midfielder … I send you a big kiss, I hope you reach Barcelona.”
Boss Keats, recalling that he is a player at the moment, replied: “Like I said, I have a few years left as a player and then I want to see myself, I want to try. It is not just about knowledge , but how to impart that knowledge and make it useful.”
