French defender Jules Kounde has reportedly asked to leave Barcelona. According to the report published by the Spanish network Relevo the day before yesterday, the former Sevilla defender wants to leave because he does not want to play in the right-back position.
And according to Sport, Kounde does not see that he will play in his main position, center-back, next season either, and believes that Xavi will continue to rely on him in the right-back position because the club does not plan to make new signing for this position in the summer market.
Indeed, Sport newspaper confirmed, on Thursday morning, that the French defender’s agents had offered him to Paris Saint-Germain, but the Parisian club closed the door to them due to the presence of more than one player covering this position in their squad.
Kounde broke his silence and commented on all this news and decided his future through his official account on the social networking site Twitter, today, Thursday, saying: “To make it clear: I did not ask at any time to leave, so I will not go anywhere.”
