Koeman admits what scares him the most about Real Madrid in el Clasico

Ronald Koeman has studied Real Madrid well and one of the messages he conveyed to his players is to avoid surprise by counter-attack in El Clasico. The coach explained that correct positioning on the field is necessary to avoid suffering from white speed.

Koeman does not believe that any tactical revolution will emerge from the two teams from the match: “We cannot be surprised,” and warned that “Real Madrid is an experienced team with great individual players, who know how to read the match.” The coach stressed that “the situation with the ball is important, but Real Madrid plays well on the counter-attack, they have hurt us and we must have good organization when we lose the ball. We have to have personality with the ball and control their counter-attack.”

The coach considers it essential to “have depth and effectiveness” in the Clasico, in which “certainly not many chances will be created and you have to be effective.”

Koeman knows that “there is no clear favorite to win the match, in some things they are better and in others they are not.” Of course, the coach highlighted the value of “playing at home, with our fans, we hope the stadium is almost full and people enjoy it.”

Among his players, the coach stated that “Jordi Alba trained normally and is ready to play” after sustaining a slight ankle sprain against Dynamo Kiev.
